Advanced Magnetism Research is a prerequisite technology researched by Orange Star, designed by Professor Caligari and pushed forward by Grey Fox. While it has no immediate effects, it is used as a pre-requisite technology to others.

The focus on magnetics has allowed the development of advanced weaponry, such as offensive tesla coils, high powered and long ranged railguns and magnetic jamming systems. The Xolotl uses a heavy tesla coil to destroy tanks from a distance. The Stormcloud uses rail guns to snipe down planes. The Hurricane uses bigger railguns to siege cities and other entrenched positions. The Aereon Missile Defence System generated an ambient magnetic jamming field, reducing the effectiveness of uncompensated missiles.
