Alexei Gaul

Alexei Gerard Gaul was a Green Earth politician. Formerly a member of the Green Earth communist party, he was amongst the large portion of the population who sided with Thor in his coup against Conway Black. However, when he learned that Thor's new regime was a totalitarian dictatorship, he formed the Green Earth Democratic Union, an alliance of smaller parties and organisations that sought to reinstate some form of democracy back into Green Earth.

The group remained small time for a while, until five of it's members were shot and killed during a peaceful demonstration. The GEDU found itself flooded with new members and supporters, and decided to up it's game. Gaul contacted Raoul, who had been putting feelers out to find the elusive GEDU leader, who met to discuss the future of Green Earth. They met again a second time, when Raoul captured Gaul and brought him into custody.

Little did Gaul know, however, he was being secretly aided by Black Hole, who had recently arrived in this world. Seeing the chance to destabalise the Green Earth government, Flak masqueraded as Gaul's chief aide, leaking huge amounts of information to him. When Raoul brought Gaul into custody, Flak was shot and killed. Hawke, de facto leader of Black Hole, soon found out about Flak's death, and, after revealing the extent of Black Hole's influence in his group, killed Gaul.
