History

Childhood

Donovan Bradley was born May 12, 49 years ago, the son of Admiral Jonathan Bradley of Green Earth and Katherine McVay of Orange Star, in Portsmouth, Avalon. At the age of eight, tragedy struck Don's childhood when his mother, an Orange Star intelligence agent and assassin, murdered his father and fled. Living with his grandparents until the age of eighteen, Don immediately enlisted with the Coalition Defense Force when he came of age. Coincidentally, a week before he was to ship out to boot camp in Nugoslavia, Katherine McVay reappeared, captured by the CDF, and was executed for espionage and assassination as Don watched.

Early Career

Don served as an enlisted man in the Coalition Army for five years before joining the Coalition Marines, a special forces unit based out of his homeland of Avalon. He was awarded the Coalition Conspicious Gallantry Cross during the Battle of Manning in Delta Land. Rising to the rank of Master Sergeant, in his eighth year of service Don was recommended for officer training, which he accepted. He was sent to train at the Yellow Comet Military Academy, graduating at the age of 28.

The Delta Land Campaigns

Immediately after returning to Green Earth, Don was sent to Delta Land to replace a recently-killed commanding officer. Taking control of the army stationed there, Don quickly created a strategy of lightning strikes against rebel units and installations and constant mobility to prevent the insurgents from retaliating effectively. At the same time, Don constantly conducted instense training exercises, centering mostly on his infantry and special forces units. His crowning achievement came at the Battle of Ouranberg. After 20 years of service in Delta Land, Don finally succeeded in pacifying the largest groups of anti-Green Earth insurgents, and was transferred back to the Homeland in Cosmo Land.

Cosmo Land

Upon returning to the Earthstag, Don found that many things had changed in his isolation. Former head of the CDF Marshal Sepp Mengele had retired, with Viola taking over the top job. he quickly acquainted himself with her and Commanders Gillian Drawl and Terrence Farkas. Viola promoted him to Second-in-Command shortly thereafter.

During the Red Valley Hostage Crisis, Don, along with his loyal right-hand-man, Chief Master Sergeant Jack Foley, flew out to Orange Star with a small special forces team to aid in the rescue attempt. Don commanded his team and Captain Orestberg's guard troops in the attack against the Red Valley border forces, eventually forcing his way toward Taris City with the aid of a multinational coalition.

During the First Dakota War, Don led a highly successful defense of the island against a large Orange Star assault, nearly destroying the Orange Star Navy and Air Force of the time. However, Don was unwillingly involved in the committing of a war crime by one of his subordinates in the process.

During the SMART Incursions, Don planned Operation: Sleeping Giant and directed the ensuing battle for Oernskald with General Farkas. While suffering heavy losses, Don managed to almost completely destroy the SMART presence in the Homeland and also discovered the location of a SMART lab facility in Yellow Comet. Taking a special forces team made up of Delta Land veterans, Don sabotaged the SMART Automated Defense System and captured the lab along with Yellow Comet Army troops.

Death

Don's final major actions came during the Second Dakota War. After being sent to pacify a minor insurgency in Darke City on Dakota Island, Don, along with Admiral Madison Kelton, was abducted by the Orange Star CO Codename Merlin in the opening minutes of the Second Dakota War. Taken to Liberty Spire to be held, Don was rescued by a special forces team led by Chief Master Sergeant Foley. In a psychotic breakdown, Don attacked Maria, Commander-in-Chief of Orange Star, and brutally killed her. Don was killed by an Orange Star soldier shortly thereafter.

Relationships

Don had few relationships with anyone. Within Green Earth, Don was strictly professional with all of his colleagues. Don had a deep hatred for anything Starrian, Maria especially so, as she bore a resemblance to his mother.

Skills

Strengths: Having many years of experience fighting abroad, Bradley's non-infantry and helicopter units gain a natural 105/105 boost due to experience. Bradley has a special affinity with infantry and helicopters, which get a 110/105 boost instead.

Weaknesses: Delta Land was a very land-based continent, and therefore Bradley does not have much experience with naval forces at all. Naval units are 95/95 and non-transport have -1 movement.

CO Power: Call of Duty: A compliment of 4 Infantry and 2 B Copter units spawn near Don's HQ. Infantry and Copter have 125/120 stats for 1 turn, including standard boost.

Super CO Power: Finest Hour: 2 B Copters spawn near Don's HQ and 4 Mechs spawn in 4 random allied cities. Infantry and Copters have 130/120 stats for 1 turn, including standard boost.
