CO Eustace, former-CiC of Red Valley

Stephen Eustace was a Commanding Officer, formerly of Orange Star before defecting to Red Valley.

History

Service in Orange Star

Eustace served as a CO field liason for many years, specialising as an infantry commander. He was a hero amongst the soldiery, and often he was credited with winning battles over the COs he served under. This repuation, and overall skill, eventually paid off, when he became a fully-fledged CO, and one of the highest ranking officers in Orange Star, serving as a direct adviser to the Orange Star Military Council.

When the Council, began to lose it's political grip, he suffered along with everyone else; he was stripped of his CO status when the council was eventually disbanded, and relegated to local defence duty in his home of Red Valley, a small commonwealth in the north of Orange Star.

Insurrection and the Red Valley Incident

When he arrived home, he discovered that there was as much unrest in Red Valley as there was in Orange Star. Many people in power, both military and civilian, were calling for secession, and the arrival of a once-great Orange Star general was heralded as a sign they should act. Eustace, rightfully angry at Orange Star, volunteered to lead the military campaign against Orange Star, and had soon amassed a small, but veteran, army of local militia and sympathisers, and prepared to march into Orange Star.

As it turned out, Red Valley's political campaign was more successful than Eustace anticipated. Orange Star bowed to most of Red Valleys demands, and declared it an independant country. However, many Orange Star alligned soldiers in Red Valley were unhappy with the decision, and decided to take matters into their own hands. However, Eustace's forces easily managed to mop them up.

With Red Valley's boarders secure, and their new status as a fully-fledged Wars World nation accepted by the rest of the world, Eustace was promoted back to General, and given control of the entire Red Valley armed forces, and their small air force and navy.

To celebrate, Red Valley's new government organised a reception, inviting COs from every country to Red Valley's capital, Taris City. Eustace was reunited with many people he'd served either with or against in his time at Orange Star, including Zephyr, who had risen to the rank of Commander-in-Chief of Orange Star, and Boreas, who held a similar position in Blue Moon. However, events soon turned sour when unknown terrorist forces stormed the building and captured the party attendees. Attempting to stand up for his country, he was shot and killed by one of the terrorist soldiers.
