FOXHOUND

FOXHOUND were an elite Orange Star wetworks unit, formerly under the command of Grey Fox. They were similar to D's Rabbit Squad in operation. All of it's members were codenamed with a colour and an animal, based on their performance during entry tests.
Unit History
FOXHOUND was formed well before Cosmo Land's Orange Star split from it's Macro Land counterpart. It has seen front line action during the majority of Orange Star's conflicts, including the Red Valley insurrection, the two Dakota Wars and the SMART war.
As well as frontline action, the unit has seen a great deal of undercover operation. Under Black panther, they were sent to Jubilant Base on Dakota Island when it was taken over by terrorists. Although they managed to kill the terorist's leader and take half a dozen prisoners, many of the terrorists managed to escape, taking large quantities of explosives and other weapons with them.
They was tasked with tracking down Merlin, who had deserted after alerting Green Earth to Madison's location, after she herself had deserted Green Earth.
At the start of the Macro Land Invasion, the entire unit went renegade with Grey Fox, leaving Orange Star. A few days after their desertion, the unit infiltrated an air base in Blue Moon in an attempt to steal a squadron of Bombers. However, they were eventually discovered, and a firefight broke out in the Bomber hangar between the air base's garrison and the unit. Most of the unit were killed, except for four men, including White Wolf and Grey Fox. After being held in Blue Moon for a while, they were eventually shipped back to Orange Star. Grey Fox was returned to CO status, and FOXHOUND was disbanded, the other three surviving members being dishonorably discharged.
Since disbanding, many of FOXHOUND's old intel has been either destroyed, or absorbed back into Orange Star's intel division. Grey Fox, however, has managed to hang on to a few select files that he keeps in his office.
Naming conventions
All of FOXHOUND's members are named after a colour and an animal; the colour indicated their scores on entrance tests and exams, while the animal denotes their speciality.
White is the highest ranked colour, followed by Grey, then Black. From there, the colours descend down the rainbow, with Violet being the next highest, and Red being the lowest.
Wolf or dog related animals - including Fox - denote an all-round specialist; no weaknesses or specific strengths. Types of cat indicate the agent specialises in command or intelligence gathering. Snakes indicate an affinity towards technology and communications. Other reptiles, such as Gecko or Dragon, mean the agent specialises in heavy, or complex, weapons and demolition. Finally, birds indicate snipers or scouts.
