One of Green Earth's top military scientists, Calvin "Gear" Vakarian was responsible for the development of many of Green Earth's unique units. Despite this he was by far one of the friendliest commanders around and is more than willing to help out other commanders on the battlefield if the need arose. He worked constantly on ways to improve the weapons of his units but often found the need to reduce their armour in order to balance the budget.
