Orange Star is one of the four nations that are present within the AWRP. Loosely based upon the Orange Star present within the Advance Wars series, Orange Star is a large nation based on the United States of America. It used to be one of the most unstable countries present, featuring in the majority of international wars to date and having had to replace its Commander in Chief multiple times, but has known stability and relative prosperity since the end of the Macro Land Invasion.
The current Commander in Chief is Edmund Warfield.

Overview
Politics
Orange Star is at the moment the only full democracy in Cosmo Land. The political leader of the country has the title of chairman, and he or she presides over the Orange Star Parliamentary Council which functions as the ruling council, kept in check by the parliament itself. Their power does not include foreign relations, as those are handled by the army at any given time.

Leadership
Prior to the start of the RP, Orange Star's military was ruled by the Military Council that was eventually dissolved to make way for a more heirarchical CO command chain. Johnathan "Zephyr" Taylor was selected as Commander-in-Chief of the new regime. After a presumed successful assassination attempt on Zephyr, his post was filled by the relatively young and inexperianced Maria Onette, in lieu of a more suitable candidate. After Maria was shot and killed by Don, Daniel "Dart" Gallagher became CiC. Eventually Dart grew to anger parliament, and he was later removed from his post, succeeded by Edmund Warfield, a retired general of some renown.
Geography
Situated to the west of Cosmo Land, Orange Star straddles two Time Zones: Western Cosmo Time and Tri-Nation Time.
Hudson
Hudson is the largest territory of Orange Star, consisting almost entirely of grasslands. The lack of natural defenses are offset by the position of the region, being bordered by the Orange Star territories of North and South Cascade, and it's coastline is guarded by Dakota. It also has the nation's capital, Westhaven City and the army's headquarters, Liberty Spire.
North Cascade
North Cascade is the northernmost region of Orange Star. Although it has a long coastline, it's strategic value was long virtually non-existent because of sea ice blocking the eastern passage. This changed since Orange Star has developed icebreaker technology, they are the only country able to use said passage giving them an advantage in wars against Blue Moon and Yellow Comet.
South Cascade
South Cascade is the central region of Orange Star. It has excellent natural defenses as a vast range of hills in the south east blocks passage for enemy forces, while the grasslands in the west allow Orange Star to quickly send in reinforcements.
Biscayne
Biscayne is the smallest region of Orange Star, situated in the far east. It borders Blue Moon's province of Rostov. Despite being small, it's economy is comparable to other regions because of the trade with Blue Moon and its mines.
Ozark
Ozark is the south eastern region of Orange Star, bordering both Rostov and Alara Tomsk from Blue Moon. Because of this, it is a vital factor in the defense of Orange Star, though it fell in the battles to have taken place there, to Blue Moon in the first (and to date only conflict between the two nations), and to Green Earth in the Second Dakota War.
Dakota
The island of Dakota has been heavily contested between Orange Star and Green Earth, culmunating in two wars to be fought over it. Recently it has been returned to full control of Orange Star.
Liberty Island
Liberty Island was captured during the aftermath of the second SMART War. It's got a full fledged military presence following the Macro Land Invasion.
Kristallichy Island
Kristallichy Island was originally owned by the SMART Corporation until their demise, when Blue Moon took the island and changed the island name from Europa to its current name. There are three major cities placed on the island; however, at least one is completely destroyed thanks to a failed nuclear test, taking with it most of the eastern half of Kristallichy. Coincidentally, the eastern half of Kristallichy was known for high concentrations of Radon within the rocks. The city in question is Tiksi; other cities on Kristallichy include Goryanagrad and Irutsk. The northwestern section of Kristallichy is referred to as the Crystal Coast; it was here that Madison and Vasco won a battle against Electroma and Comrade to claim the island in the Orange Star-Blue Moon conflicts. In peace talks, it was agreed that Orange Star retain control of the island.
The Orange Star Army
The Orange Star Army currently consists of 5 distinct classes; infantry, armour, artillery, air and navy, and presently has seven COs.
Infantry
The Infantry units are divided over four army groups, each stationed in a different region. They are all as large as each other. The CO responsible for the Infantry army groups is Vasco.
- The 1st Infantry Corps, also named 1st Corps, is stationed in Hudson, Westhaven
- Ozark Infantry Army Group, also named Corps Ozark, is stationed near Goldtrail Town, Ozark
- Biscayne Infantry Army Group, also named Corps Biscayne, is stationed near Dearborn City, Biscayne
- Liberty Infantry Army Group, also named Liberty Corps, is stationed near Liberty City, Liberty Island
Army
Armour and Artillery both make up the main combat groups in the army. There is one stationed in each region, all as large as each other. The CO responsible for the Armour and Artillery groups is Grey Fox, though Allistair has responsibility for the Armour groups.

Each Navy Fleet is stationed at a strategically important location for Orange Star, or nearby. The six fleets are each as large as the other. The CO responsible for the Navy is Madison.
- The Main Fleet is stationed in New Taris City, Westhaven. It is also host to the Flagship of the Orange Star Navy, the Davros.
- The Southern Fleet is also stationed in New Taris City, Westhaven.

Airforce
The Airforce consists of 6 Fleets, each as large as the other. The CO responsible for the Airforce Fleets is Chase, though Suzi has responsibility for the Helicopter fleets.

Military Organisation
The top of the Orange Star army consists of the four-, five- and six- star generals. All of them are COs, and no COs are of a lower rank than a four-star general. The rank for COs can differ per department, however the Commander-in-Chief is a six-star general everywhere and the Second-in-Command is a five star general. All other COs are four-star generals everywhere but their own department, where they are a five-star general. As such they don't necessarily have to take orders from the Second-in-Command, yet need to have good grounds to do so when the issue becomes known to the Commander-in-Chief.
