Red Valley

Red Valley was a former, short lived, country. Formerly a state within Orange Star, it was granted independance after a short rebellion. The country was dissolved and integrated back into Orange Star after the Red Valley incident.

History

Red Valley had existed as a country since the colonisation of Wars World, and was a close ally of Orange Star from the beginning. It's small size compared to Orange Star, and the lack of a powerful government, meant the country was, for a long time, little more than a puppet nation to Orange Star. However, eventually Orange Star dropped pretentions and officially integrated them into Orange Star as a state.

This angered many people in Red Valley, many of whom called for war. However, for a long time nothing happened. Eventually, military leaders in Red Valley bowed to public pressure, and began a bid for independance. When Orange Star refused, the people took up arms. Stephen Eustace, a former general with the Orange Star army and recent exile to Red Valley, volunteered to lead the campaign against their opressors.

A major confrontation never happened, though. Orange Star, afraid at how badly a possible war would reflect on them, relented when it became clear Red Valley was preparing for war. The country was granted independance, and Eustace went on to take full command of Red Valley's army.

Commanding Officers

Eustace was the Commander-in-chief of Red Valley's small army, both during it's original insurrection and after the country was granted independance. He was killed during the hostage situation in Taris City.
