Personality
A strong veteran CO, Rin has seen it all, yet never lost her drive in battle. She has an unshakeable determination to fight for the weak and against the corrupted/despicable who would prey upon them. This has caused her to be well known, but also allowed her to gain many dangerous enemies. She is competant and charismatic to her troops, which helps motivate them to give the battle one hundred precent as she does. Rin is ruthless in battle and will never hesitate to destabalize and slander her opposing CO and their units with her snarky, deadpan attitude. She sticks to her principles to the point of stubbornness. But she has been known to act recklessly, and is willing to bend the rules for the sake of justice.
Despite her tough attitude, Rin acts very motherly and caring to her fellow YC Cos, often checking up on them with a plate of fortune cookies and some herbal tea. She will ALWAYS keep an eye out for her friends, being incredibly loyal, and help them in any way possible. The one time Rin won't tolerate her fellow COs however, is when they muscle in on her fight, regardless of if they win or lose. She WILL let her wrath be known at the CO who dares take over her fight. She doesn't mind Tag CO battles, however, especially if she has high respect for her fellow CO. She also treats the battle as a 'lesson' for a rookie CO who joins up with her. Rin is always serious when the situation calls for it, and vows to ensure those who would attempt to get away with their crimes will be brought to swift justice.
History
Rin always put her career first. When she finally got out of the CO game at 30, Rin married a man and had a son with him. The family retired to a quiet part of Yellow Comet, and lived there for ten years. However, enemies of Rin who she had defeated in battle discovered her location. She arrived back one evening to discover her husband and son's dead bodies in her living room. This image burned itself into Rin's mind, and sometimes causes her to have nightmares. For a while, Rin suffered depression, to the point of suicide from the incident.
It took Rin many years to recover from the incident, and she kept herself isolated from life during this time. However, while Rin recovered, a burning desire to see those who would prey on the weak and wreck families apart, just like her own, be punished overtook her. At 64, Rin finally became a CO again, reignited with a new passion. She vowed that in order to redeem herself for her failure to save her husband and son, she would do everything in her power to ensure criminals were brought to justice.
Appearance
Due to her age, Rin's hair is fighting a battle of black and white streaks, and is held up in a bun, two green hairpins crossing in-between the hair right on her head and her bun. She wears a scarlet kimono with purple trimmings, and silver phoenixes make up the pattern of her kimono, with a green slash wrapped around her waist, the back of it a bow. She wears wooden geta sandals which are often not seen as her kimono keeps them hidden. Rin is also sometimes seen with a white fan, with a yellow comet in the middle in place of a rising sun. She is similar to an Asian in appearance, and has green eyes.
