The SMART Conflicts were a series of battles in which the forces of SMART, led by Vogel invaded Cosmo Land.
Causes for War
The causes for the war varied between countries, but all boiled down to one simple thing: Vogel wanting to establish a dominion over Cosmo Land.
In Orange Star, SMART aimed to make money by selling weapons to the law enforcement agencies such as the police. They were commanded by Aaron, who was able to set up some installations in Orange Star. Using them they tried to attack Orange Star's capital. Maria and Viola were able to temporarily set aside their differences to break the siege. Although Viola claimed it was a pre-emptive counterattack in order to protect the newly acquired region of Dakota, Aaron speculated that it was an attempt at redemption. SMART's HQ in the area was ransacked, giving Orange Star plans for the Frigate as well as a copy of the Dual Strike Theory dossier.
While this was going on, Alyosha attempted a naval attack on Blue Moon. Lorin was able to hold him off and the two agreed to a ceasefire. During the peace negotiations, Alyosha gave Lorin the Dual Strike Theory dossier and plans for the Raptor.
