Summary:Blue Moon
From AWRPedia
Boreas Era
After the loss of former Tsar-General Dmitry Kalashnikov, Martin "Boreas" Andrews is appointed to the role of Tsar-General. Boreas's reign began with a triple-pronged manuever: Eva Lorin would deal with the research and development, Procella would deal with the border to Orange Star, and Petr Romanov Wrangel would deal with the border to Green Earth. Boreas would meanwhile deal with the economic structure of the country. Procella is also promoted to the second-in-command of Blue Moon during this time.
The Red Valley Incident & The Demise of Boreas - Motherland in Peril
Soon after Procella's promotion to SiC of Blue Moon, Red Valley had recovered enough to formally declare independence. Red Valley's leader, former Orange Star CO Eustace, invited the leaders of the continent's main powers to a formal dinner in celebration, which Boreas attended alongside his contemporaries; Viola, Zephyr and Ken.
The celebrations turned sour, however, when the event was stormed by terrorists acting on the orders of an unknown woman. Taking the attendees hostage and killing Eustace, the COs were eventually rescued by an allied Cosmo Land force. The terrorists were either killed or recorded MIA, and Boreas was released from his bondage to return to Blue Moon.
However, shortly after the events of Red Valley, Boreas was killed in a car crash. Procella, distraught over his death, disappeared as well, leaving Blue Moon without a commander-in-chief.
Board of Commanders Era
In the wake of the Tsar-General's demise and the disappearance of Procella, a solution is quickly formed: From this rises the Board of Commanders, including senior COs Petr and Lorin, the former of whom currently heads the board, so the government"decide on matters in a democratic manner and distribute power to everyone, opposed to the centralized one-leader system where a few blows could cripple the whole structure".
The First Dakota War - Culture Clash
The Board of Commanders' first action is a joint assault on Orange Star with Green Earth. Eva Lorin began the assault on the Ozark Mountain Range until an attack from Yellow Comet on both the current front and a new front, on the eastern coast of Kharkasstia, necessitated her retreat from the front and the war on Orange Star in general. Lorin and the Orange Star CiC, Maria Onette, negotiated terms of diplomacy, which included the release of Yellow Comet CO Gregor Gordrech, who had come at the latter's request as reinforcements. Meanwhile, on Kharkasstia, Ken's gargantuan force absolutely crushes the smaller forces of Petr on the coasts of Blue Moon territory. As this happens, Lorin manages to trap Gregor in a cave, but is unfortunately shot in the knee by the sore loser.
The war ends following the customary diplomacy talks, with Kharkasstia in the hands of Yellow Comet, Gregor released into the care of his home country, and Lorin crippled for the rest of her life.
The SMART Conflicts, pt. 1 - Evolve or Die
Lorin takes a week off at her villa in the Primorsky Archipelago to recover from her injuries; the time off is cut short when she recieves a message from Alyosha Konstantinov claiming to represent SMART High Command from Green Earth, attempting to extort money from Blue Moon. Lorin refuses and a fight breaks out between the two at Primorsky, and Eva came out the victor with support from Nikolai Zhukov. A former officer by the name of Alexandr "Playma" Molatov also arrives at this point. Alyosha admits that he simply does not care for the battle and leaves, handing Lorin the files to both the Lancer indirect plane unit and the 'Dual Strike Formation' theory.
Meanwhile, back at home, Procella returns after nearly a year-long absence from her homeland. Warmly recieved by her comrades, Procella is immediately roped into going to the Earthstag alongside Lorin and her assistant Kyta to discuss the SMART matter. Tensions rise almost immediately between Procella and the Yellow Comet delegates, whose firing of a satellite weapon devastated SMART forces in Orange Star at the cost of also destroying much of the terrain around the area; an agreement is eventually reached that the weapon be destroyed over the ocean. An agreement on how to deal with SMART is also reached: Blue Moon's newly equipped Advanced Ops squads are to join the other nations in a search and hunt mission to find the location of SMART's lair.
The meeting at the Earthstag ends with Lorin announcing that she will give the position of Commander-in-Chief back to Procella.
Procella Era
Lorin takes a leave of absence after the Earthstag meeting, leaving Procella and Petr to deal with homeland matters, and Playma leaves to head back to Macro Land. A strange card comes in the mail at the same time for Procella, with the number 22:13 (10:13 PM in regular time) and a note to not forget this number. During the downtime between the first SMART conflict and the next one, great technological advances are made in the form of Cluster Munitions and the Granit Cruise Missile.
The SMART Conflicts, pt. 2 - To The Pain
Ingvar "Thor" Halgrind of Green Earth visits Procella shortly after the testing of the Granit in Syzran as an ally for Blue Moon in the inevitable rematch with SMART, though he disappears to help his homeland shortly. A meeting is called; the problem areas are outlined as the Primorsky Archipelago and the Alara Mountain Range. Iosef "Joseph" Pokryshkin patrols the former, Procella patrols the latter, and the other COs are sent out to various regions to ensure a lack of SMART influence.
In the Alara Mountain Range, Procella's forces come under attack by SMART forces led by a man called Silicon, bringing with him an absolutely massive flying monstrosity named the Stratodestroyer. Though Procella wins the battle through superior tactics, Silicon manages to capture her anyway with the help of the Advanced Ops technology stolen from High Command by Playma, who is revealed to be a double agent for SMART.
An absolutely pissed-off Lorin takes Joseph with her to free the Tsarina in a battle versus Playma and Silicon. Interposed between the battle is Procella's interrogation by Silicon, who tases and questions her about Blue Moon's economy, and then Playma, who burns and abuses her to obtain the Granit plans. He is only stopped from killing her by the timely appearance of Reagan. The two women have a civil conversation before the cell is turned back over to Playma. He eventually gains part of the plans to the Granit by dragging Procella to the command center and forcing her to choose between giving SMART the plans or fighting her own troops. He does not hold true to his word and forces her to command the troops anyway to obtain the rest of the plans.
Regardless, Lorin and Joseph smash through the SMART forces. Silicon and Reagan flee and Playma is killed by Lorin. She saves Procella, pulls her out of the laboratory, and Joseph reduces the three buildings in the Alara Range to rubble.
Later, as Procella recovers, Petr and Lorin sail to the island of Europa, part of the country named Grey Meteor, to fight Reagan. The battle is cut short by Procella, who manages to convince Reagan to defect to Blue Moon while divulging information on the leader of SMART. A negotiation is reached, the crystals on the island of Europa are destroyed, and eventually, SMART falls. Control of Europa goes to Blue Moon, and the island is renamed Kristallichy Island.
2nd Dakota War and Other Miscellany - Meanwhile, in Blue Moon
A respite is taken for all of the Blue Moon commanders after the SMART incidents - Lorin goes in to get a replacement for her kneecap, Petr goes on vacation, and Joseph and Procella deal with economical corruption in Rostov before going on leave themselves. Thus, nobody is around in Blue Moon High Command when the Second Dakota War breaks out between Orange Star and Green Earth. While Procella does not wish to get involved with the war, there are several citizens of Blue Moon that need to get out of the line of fire. Petr heads the forces that go to rescue their citizens from Dakota Island after both Orange Star and Green Earth agree to allow them through.
Green Earth, however, has additional demands. Field Marshal Viola Abandonato wishes to march to Orange Star's capital by land, but to do that, she needs to move through Blue Moon territory. As such, a non-aggression pact is signed between the two countries, with the Motherland managing to score the Enhanced Topography and Naval Defense Station technology in the process. The end of the Second Dakota War arrives a few weeks later combat-wise.
The aftermath of the war sees Yellow Comet's Emperor, Ken Kobayashi, asking for a chat between the two nations to keep their countries safe. While the negotiations are nearly placed in jeopardy by a new, gung-ho commander by the name of Julia Anders, things are quickly placed under control and the two country leaders meet in Prox to begin discussions. Thankfully for the two nations, the war is resolved during the talks.
Another problem quickly raises itself for Blue Moon, however - Lorin has gone missing and has apparently taken a small section of the army with her. When some of the missing soldiers turn up dead by gunshot wounds near the city of Medias, Procella immediately assumes the worst. As checks of the Motherland's army are put into place by the other COs, Joseph finally tells Procella the true story behind the SMART Conflicts and her capture, most of which she had blocked out.
Macro Land Conflicts - I Don't Need Your Civil War
An e-mail is sent to Procella courtesy of Generalissimus Luka "Malyshev" Zaschitnikov, the commander-in-chief of Blue Moon operations in Macro Land. The Macro Land leaders have come to an agreement that Cosmo Land must reunite with Macro Land. Procella rightly tells them to piss off. Regardless, Malyshev flies in for diplomatic talks with Procella, which quickly turn sour when the second-in-command of Macro Land, Petya "Svarog" Ustinov, lets slip that they have hired Silicon as a developer. Procella immediately sends the two away. The other three nations have similar issues with their Macro Land counterparts, and a meeting between the Cosmo Land nations is called at Prox, headed by Procella herself.
At the meeting, the conclusion is reached that Macro Land plans to invade Cosmo Land and preventive measures must be taken. The four nations agree that each of them will deal with their own counterparts alone. However, various custom units will be traded between the four nations for the duration of the wars with Macro Land. After the units are sent, a reconnissance unit discovers recent military activity in Medias and Tukchi, confirming that Macro Land planned to attack all along - The talk with Procella was essentially pointless.
Macro Land makes the first strike on Blue Moon - They raze the port of Tukchi, killing over ten thousand civilians. While Procella and Petr fight the Macro Land enemies, commanders Svarog and Motya "Dudulya" Ustinov, they lose and are forced to retreat, evacuating the province of Kharkasstia in the process. Procella is barely home at Prox for less than an hour before an attack on a Blue Moon airbase, though not by Macro Land - Rather, James "Grey Fox" Riley, an Orange Star commander, attacked the base, though he did not do so under his nation's command. Regardless, Grey Fox is taken back to Orange Star as a prisoner and the battle against Macro Land continues.
Procella's attempts to find a peaceful resolution with Malyshev lead to her and Joseph meeting the Macro Land commander at his base. Malyshev's paranoia reveals itself when he wrongly assumes that Procella plans to sabotage the operation while at his base and shoots her in the leg. The Tsarina is immediately evacuated as Joseph and Georgy "Anton" Alekseev take command of the next battle. Though Anton and Joseph manage to drive back Malshev and Svarog, Joseph derides Anton's commanding choices and inability to confidently command troops and their relationship is strained as a result.
Eventually, the time comes to chase Macro Land off of Cosmo Land's...well, land. However, Macro Land once again manages to make the first move when they bomb various cities all across Blue Moon, the main link being the biggest cities possible. Petr and Rakshata Chawla are sent to fight the Macro Land forces hidden at Kharkasstia, and with the timely defection of Svarog, Malyshev is captured and taken prisoner by Rakshata. He is then taken to Prox, where Procella immediately shoots him three times as soon as he is taken out of the helicopter. Svarog and Dudulya leave, and Macro Land is defeated.
Miscellany pt. 2 - Mad Bomber
A meeting between the four nations is called following the defeat of Macro Land at Orange Star's command base of Liberty Spire. Among topics discussed are the strange appearance and subsequent vanishing of Green Earth commander and twin sister of Viola, Rosabella Abandonato, in Yellow Comet's laboratories, leaving behind a smattering of strange plant life as she disappeared. Revealed shortly after this is that the commanders present when the apparition of Rosabella appeared have a viral infection that blocks their CO Powers and that it has most likely spread to the rest of the leaders present at the meeting.
Meanwhile, at High Command, Rakshata begins the testing of a giant bomb codenamed FLEIJA (or Tsarina Bomba) as the bodies of former Blue Moon commanders, including Lorin and Omega, turn up around the Motherland, killed by gunshot wounds. Procella, getting increasely paranoid about this turn of events, instead decides to focus on the testing of the Tsarina Bomba at Kristallichy Island. The test goes off without a hitch and the entire eastern half of the island is basically obliterated for science.
Meanwhile, Petr, who had recently put in his retirement notice, is assaulted in his office by an unknown assailant. Though he survives the attack, he does not survive the second (which comes shortly after he is hospitalized) and dies in his hospital bed from another gunshot wound. As Procella investigates his death, she comes into contact with the Orange Star assassin (later revealed to be Zepyhr under a different code name) in her office but is rescued by patrolling Advanced Ops, who shoot him in the forehead, killing him.
In the chaos, the key to the last Tsarina Bomba is stolen from Rakshata's laptop, along with the bomb and the entire safe it was stored in. The mystery is forced aside so Procella can speak to Dart about the attempt on her life, though Rakshata still gets what she deserves. The times only get worse and worse for Blue Moon when Hanako Mori of Yellow Comet, angered at the lack of "official" response about the testing of the Tsarina Bomba, decides to blockade the Primorsky Archipelago for no good reason. With the logical explanation of a mine explosion's gases causing the damage (in addition to the timely intervention of Ken), Hanako is reluctantly forced to pull away from the islands.
Black Hole - Road to the Multiverse
Investigations on the disappearance of the Tsarina Bomba are abruptly put on hold when it is revealed that someone wishes to speak to the Tsarina - The person in question is Playma, despite having been shot and killed last year. The Playma currently here is from an alternate universe of Wars World where Black Hole has dominated Cosmo Land and wish to open communications with this version of Wars World. Procella, after meeting with the Alternate Playma, decides to take the chance and head to the international meeting Black Hole is holding. Eventually, the deal is finalized and Alexandr Molotov becomes the Black Hole ambassador to Blue Moon.
Things do not go so smoothly for Black Hole in other lands, as Yellow Comet and Black Hole get involved in a war. This, with the implied build-up of military forces at Grey Meteor, puts Blue Moon on full alert regarding the country, but with no real attack aimed at the country, nothing happens. The nature of Black Hole's leaders, the Circle of Four, is revealed by the alternate Playma during a meeting.
Blue Moon vs. Green Earth - One Vision
The change in leadership at Green Earth has caused nothing but problems for the nation - Specifically, refugees are fleeing the border into Blue Moon. While the influx of citizens are initially welcomed, the number becomes far too big for the Motherland to deal with and Procella orders the border between Blue Moon and Green Earth to be shut down. Procella is meanwhile swamped with E-Mails about both Black Hole and the Tsarina Bomba, which has been stolen by a man named Michael. A videophone meeting is called between the four nations in response, which mostly involves rising tensions and general vitriol.
During a patrol of the new blockade, a rocket is fired by an unknown individual at the border and war breaks out. The conflict is essentially a stalemate between the nations - Green Earth wins a battle, and Blue Moon wins a battle - And eventually, everybody just decides to pack it in and go home.
The Alaran War - Oh Come On This Isn't Even Remotely Fair
The new year is rung in with an influx of new commanders, including Alexei "Comrade" Svyatopolk, Julia "Rustica" Osborne, Sigrid Hennelzen, and Valentine "Commissar" Rykov. However, Procella has other plans than hanging out with the new kids: Orange Star and Blue Moon have begun to work together to locate the Tsarina Bomba Mk II. When it is found, however, Procella's acute paranoia goes into overdrive and the tensions flare brightly enough to be seen from space. The Vympel Squad is sent in to retrieve the bomb, a firefight breaks out (Procella being the aggressor), and a tense negotiation between Dart and Procella begins, culminating in Dart declaring war on Blue Moon.
The Alaran War begins and ends with Orange Star. In no short order of events that happen, Orange Star manages to completely dominate the Alara Tomsk, end up with Blue Moon firing missiles at their own city, keep the Tomsk while capturing Commissar in the process, sail out to the island of Kristallichy and take it by force from Sigrid, cure the Normality Virus blocking them from using their CO Powers while Blue Moon languished under the virus's effects, destroy over one hundred of Blue Moon's finest, acquire the Tsarina Bomba Mk. II for their own use, and finally piss all over the graves of every Moonian killed in the war. After nearly three months with no action, Dart calls Procella to negotiate "peace terms", which in reality is just a bunch of demands for Blue Moon to stay bent over Orange Star's desk: Orange Star keeps Kristallichy Island, gets full access to all naval routes north of Rostov, and establishes a permanent twenty-mile demilitarized on the OS-BM border, but only on Blue Moon's side of the border to make any possible future ass-kickings easier. In return, they get the Tomsk back. Yay. Having no other options, Procella agrees to the unreasonable requests.
The spirals of self-loathing and depression only continue for Blue Moon's commanders during the post-war meeting, which first starts off with a crying Sigrid vomiting everywhere because Joseph thought it was a good idea to give her alcohol. Once the meeting is moved to Joseph's office, he disagrees with the Tsarina on preparing for revenge and storms out of the office, only to come back minutes later with a squadron of Spec Ops soldiers pointing guns at the remaining commanders. Joseph, having been closest to the Tsarina, has noticed a severe decline in her mental health, which, had it not existed, could have not started the war with Orange Star. As such, he has declared her unfit to rule and has her deposed, placing himself as the new Tsar-General of Blue Moon.
Rustica Era
The Promotion - Bring Forth the Fancy Hats
To bring in stability during the change in leadership and following the end of the Alaran War, Procella's sister, Mira Petra Goryanova, is hired on by Joseph as a temporary general. While Blue Moon recovers internally, however, the other three nations experience a rash of trouble - Green Earth has riots break out in the nation, Yellow Comet has gang warfare erupt in their cities, and Orange Star is routinely bombed by terrorists. The new commander-in-chief following Dart's departure, Edmund Warfield, calls a meeting in Orange Star, which Mira attends with her new commander, Koel McDowell. At the meeting, the notion that an international task force is agreed upon when threats to all Cosmo Land countries arise.
At the meeting, however, Mira comes to the realization that she is far too civilian-minded to lead the military anymore. With this in mind, she has a talk with Joseph and decides to transfer her position over to Rustica.
