The Trans-Continental Railroad was a project undertaken by Orange Star whereby a railway was constructed which runs across mainland Orange Star. Presently, outlying territories such as Dakota Island are not connected. The Orange Star Armed Forces heavily subsidised the civilian project, as the financial gains, brought from increased commercial activity, would be passed on to the Armed Forces. The project was shelved in 2010 as a military project, and has now been handed over solely for civilian use.
