Kaede "Tremor" Ishida is a commanding officer in Yellow Comet. It is played by CourtJackal.

Appearance and Personality

Tremor is unique in that it is usually incapable of speech. It suffers from selective mutism - The only time it seems to be capable of speech is when it is on the battlefield. Outside of battle, it is limited to communicating with its allies via written word or sign language. The times it does communicate seem to lack any emotion. Tremor itself seems to keep people at arm's length. Tremor communicates using a whiteboard and marker or, failing that, pencil and paper. Failing that, it is capable of sign language.

The reason that it is impossible to determine Tremor's gender is because it simply wears so much that no one can tell if there's even a human under it. The only part of Tremor's body that anyone can make out are its eyes, a striking green pair that seems to look through people rather than at them. The tiny bits of skin you can see around the eyes are very brown. Aside from that, Tremor is wrapped in various bandages, pelts, and sheets of cloth from head to toe, almost bearing resemblance to a mummy. Every bit except the aforementioned eyes are wrapped securely under them, hiding many mysteries.

History

Backstory

Kaede Ishida was born in a sleepy little village on the eastern coast of Yellow Comet land, somewhere in the Tetisa province named Kawaoki. While life in Kawaoki was relatively peaceful, there was a bit of a bullying problem among the younger children, and Kaede was often a favored target. One day, the bullies placed Kaede in a dumpster and left. As Kaede panicked and cried, a great earthquake struck the area. By virtue of being trapped there, in that dumpster, Kaede survived (though not without having scars - It would be permanently mute as a result of the trauma). Every other life in the village was snuffed out; Kaede was no older than ten when it happened. This was the changing point in Kaede's life - To remember the people of the village, it wrapped itself up in their clothes, and once it could no longer tell that it was human, began to refer to itself as "Tremor".

Tremor began to move from city to city, living like a nomad on the field and a beggar in the city. Oftentimes it would be found in military camps, helping the soldiers do menial grunt work inbetween missions. It return, Tremor would be taught how to fight. It took to using this skill to hunt wild game. One day, Tremor was offered the ability to participate in a mission, and in the heat of the mission, it learned that its mutism simply disappeared in times of warfare. Overjoyed, Tremor took a much more active interest in learning the ways of warfare, taking its interest in long-ranged strikes and command. The happiness would be short-lived, though - On one particular mission, another earthquake struck and the painful memories re-awoke. The overseer of the mission, however, had a theory regarding the earthquake - He told Tremor that it was likely that it had the CO Power genome and that it should offer its services at the Imperial Tower.

On the friendly side, the ground's shifting raises it upward, giving all indirect units +2 to range, at the cost of all non-air units taking a defense drop of .9 as well. Standard Boost applies.
