Yuriko Maki (槙 百合子 Maki Yuriko) is a Commanding Officer from Yellow Comet.

History

Yuriko is an only-child whose parents were a fairly wealthy businessman and a miko. Yuriko left university and got a job as a medical intern with SMART until the company was dissolved following Vogel's death. She moved to Aaron Barnes' new company, The Orion Foundation, and entered CO training once her CO Power became apparent. After completing training she became one of the Orion Foundation's Four Generals until a man calling himself Diyu joined them and started abusing the resources Orion had at their disposal. In a case of "he goes or I go", Yuriko left the Foundation and headed back to her homeland.

Personality

Yuriko is a kind, generally rule-abiding girl who believes that doing the right thing is more important than following the law, though the two are usually one and the same. She's calm and patient, rarely getting upset at anything.

Relationships

Yuriko has worked alongside Tremor before and finds her intriguing. She has a dislike for Raoul, thinking of him as a "Luddite". She hasn't worked with other COs enough to form a real opinion on them.

• Yuriko's surname is related to trees, as are Hanako, Ken, Sae, Emi and Miyu's. Yuriko's name comes from the Japanese word for the Chinese Black Pine.
